He also fell into the water, along with Niota. The crocidiles swam at them imeditly, forgeting about the punny cub. Niota carrieded the body of the cub back to pride rock. At first the King and Queen were blinded with greef. They thought Niota had killed the cub. But it happens that another lion had been there and saw the hole thing. Niota was honered for her courage and the king and queen adopted her. Shortly after, her mother died of an unknown sickness. From THE STREETS OF BOSTONAbby walked through the ominously dark streets. She could hear human music playing loudly, hurting the delicate hairs in her ears. Above her, a street light flickered. The wind started up and she jumped around. That smell. What was it? She could recognize it, but from where? She drew her lips back to revile two jaws of dangerously sharp teeth. As the smell grew stronger, a slid-show of memories filled her head. The strange group of dogs. Her sibling and human friend. Herself begging the group to let them be. It was them! Her tail flew between her legs and she whimpered. "Wait, what am I doing, I can't let these mutts scare me! Not after what they did. I must show them I'm still strong!" Abby thought. Furry ran through her vane's. "Are you to chicken to show yourself?!" she snarled viciously.
"Well, well, well. Look who it is. Go on mutt. Beg." It was him. He was taunting her again. His eyes where black, there was no reflection of light in them. He still had that twisted smile. Abby was sure that he could hear her heart beat.
"No. Never again!" she said. More memories filled her mind. Her speeding heart sped up. Tension grew thick in the air. Abby knew he would attack. She wouldn't back down.
"Fine, we'll do this the hard way." The dog lunged. Abby was ready for him. Her body was small enough to press down to the ground so the heartless dog would fly over her. It worked. In less then a heartbeat, she had him down. But he was big. He dug his back legs into her soft belly. She toppled over. Now, he was on her. "Beg!! For a moment, all seemed loss. Then the faces of her loved ones burned in a picture that only Abby could see. She had the second wind she needed. She wiggled free from the dogs grip. She lunged at his neck. Teeth bared, snarling fiercely.
"I will never forgive you for what you did. I could kill you off now, end it all for us. But I think I'll let you suffer the way you have let me suffer" Abby growled. She bit into the dogs neck. The smell of blood wrapped around her. The sight of his screwed up face comforted her. He yelped in pain. She backed off. His group surrounded him. As they made sure there leader was OK, Abby backed into the darkness of the shadows. It didn't seem like it was her who did it. It seemed like she had watched another. Maybe now she could escape the nightmares. Maybe now she could find peace. No. She knew she would never be the same. She turned her back on the group of heartless dogs and walked into the night. She looked over her shoulder, and continued into the unknown.
